The Supreme Court<\/a> of India on Friday issued notices to parties on the plea of National Testing Agency (NTA) which sought the transfer of petitions from high courts to the apex court.<\/p>\n

The top court said NTA’s petition will be taken up on July 8.<\/p>\n

Several petitions have been submitted to high courts and the Supreme Court, raising various allegations, including paper leaks, grace marks, and a significant increase in high scorers.<\/p>\n

The Centre on Thursday told the SC that the decision to give grace marks to 1,563 candidates of NEET-UG 2024 by the NTA has been cancelled and the students will be given an option to apply for a retest on June 23.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that there is no evidence of a paper leak in the NEET-UG exam.<\/p>\n

The NEET (UG) 2024 examination was conducted by the NTA on May 5 across 4,750 centers, with approximately 24 lakh candidates participating. Although the results were initially expected to be announced on June 14, they were released on June 4, possibly due to the early completion of the answer sheet evaluation.
