The maximum temperature in Delhi<\/a> on Sunday was recorded six notches above normal at 44.9 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department<\/a> said. The minimum temperature was recorded at 33.2 degrees Celsius, 5.7 notches above the season’s average. <\/p>\n

For Monday, the Met office<\/a> has predicted mainly clear skies and heat wave<\/a> to severe heat wave to with warm night conditions and strong surface winds. <\/p>\n

At 5.30 pm, the humidity was recorded at 19 per cent. <\/p>\n

The national capital’s Air Quality Index<\/a> (AQI) was recorded in the ‘moderate’ category with a reading of 195 at 6 pm, according to Central Pollution Control Board<\/a> data. <\/p>\n

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
