Sarma was handling health during the 2016 to 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Mahanta will oversee the Transport, Excise and Fisheries departments. These departments were under Parimal Suklabaidya.<\/p>\n<p>Sarma recently said there will be a reshuffle in the council of ministers before August 15 keeping in view the assembly polls.<\/p>\n<p>Assam will go to assembly polls in 2026.
