The court found that Patel had submitted forged documents in her petition.

Patel claimed that the NTA had informed her that her result would not be declared due to the torn OMR sheet. She demanded a manual evaluation of her OMR sheet, an inquiry against the NTA, and a halt to the admission counselling process. However, upon a court order, the NTA presented the original OMR sheet, which was found to be intact.

“NTA can take legal action in the matter,” Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan said in his order. NTA told the court the decision to initiate legal action against the student, Ayushi Patel of Lucknow, had already been taken.

After reviewing the documents, the court concluded that Patel had filed the petition based on forged documents. The court termed it “regrettable” and stated that the NTA was free to take legal action in the matter.

“The petitioner has submitted forged documents, and in such a situation, this court cannot stop NTA from taking legal action against the student,” the court said.

In her petition filed early this month, Ayushi claimed that the National Testing Agency (NTA) sent her a communication stating that her result would not be declared because her OMR sheet was found torn. She demanded that her OMR sheet be evaluated manually and called for the counselling for admissions to be stopped while her petition was pending. Ayushi also requested an inquiry be set up against the NTA, claiming that she should have scored 715 marks out of 720, but her actual score was 335.During the court proceedings, the NTA presented the OMR sheet, scorecard, and attendance sheet of the petitioner. It was revealed that the application number on the documents was 240411340741, which was signed by Ayushi herself. However, she had been sending emails citing a different application number, 240411840741, with one digit changed. After reviewing the documents, the court concluded that Ayushi had filed the petition based on forged documents. The court termed it “regrettable” and stated that the NTA was free to take legal action in the matter.

Prior to approaching the High Court, Ayushi had released a video making her claims. The video gained significant attention after it was shared by Vadra, who criticized the NTA. However, on June 12, the NTA clarified that Ayushi’s paper was intact and that her case was a result of forgery on her part. An NTA official stated that no torn OMR answer sheet was sent from any official NTA email and that the actual OMR was available and not torn. The official also mentioned that all the results were available online.

NEET Row: BJP demands apology from Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for sharing video

Ayushi Patel’s claims were widely circulated, with Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra sharing her video and supporting her allegations.

Latching on the high court’s order, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla alleged Priyanka Gandhi had recently posted on X a video of this NEET aspirant who had made some “outlandish claims” about her result in NEET exam “including torn OMR, lesser marks being given to her”.

“Turns out this girl Ayushi Patel, who claimed her OMR was torn and marks were not correct, had provided fake documents even to court and made false claims about her OMR being torn,” he wrote on X, citing Priyanka Gandhi’s June 10 post on the micro-blogging site.

“I demand not only an apology by Priyanka Gandhi.
