A 24-year-old man, Guru Sewak Singh, was arrested<\/a> by the CISF<\/a> at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport for impersonating a 67-year-old man while attempting to board an Air Canada flight<\/a> to Canada. Singh, disguised with dyed hair<\/a> and beard<\/a>, was detained after security personnel found his behavior suspicious.<\/p>\n

Singh presented a passport under the name Rashvindar Singh Sahota, claiming to be 67 years old. However, his youthful appearance raised doubts, leading to a more thorough investigation. He admitted to his true identity upon questioning and showed a digital copy of his authentic passport on his mobile phone.<\/p>\n

“The man’s appearance, voice, and skin texture seemed significantly younger than the details provided in the passport,” a senior CISF officer said. “Closer observation revealed that he had dyed his hair and beard white and was wearing glasses to appear older.”<\/p>\n

The CISF handed Singh and his belongings over to the Delhi Police<\/a> for further legal action. The incident highlights the vigilance of security personnel in preventing potential misuse of travel documents.
