Delhi Airport<\/a> on Saturday became the first Indian airport to introduce the Government of India<\/a>\u2019s Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme<\/a> (FTI-TTP<\/a>) for Indian passport holders<\/a> and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders.<\/p>\n

This facility aims to reduce congestion at airports by offering expedited emigration\/immigration clearance for pre-verified travellers, both arriving and departing. Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3 is equipped with eight electronic gates \u2013 four for arrivals and four for departures \u2013 to facilitate a seamless experience for programme participants. The number of counters may increase based on demand.<\/p>\n

Union Home Minister Amit Shah<\/a> inaugurated the programme by unveiling dedicated counters at Terminal 3 for TTP beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

The FTI-TTP is an initiative by the Indian government. It is designed to provide Indian nationals and OCI cardholders<\/a> with a faster, easier, and more secure travel experience.<\/p>\n

Delhi Airport is operated by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a subsidiary of GMR Airport Infrastructure Limited. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe at DIAL are very proud to join hands with the Government of India for launching the FTI-Trusted Traveller Programme at Delhi Airport. This programme will offer a world-class and seamless travel experience to all international passengers opting for this facility,\u201d said Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of DIAL.<\/p>\n

Applicants\u2019 passports must have at least six months of validity at the time of application. Membership in the programme will be co-terminus with passport validity. The application process includes submission of biometrics (fingerprints and facial image) along with other required information in the application form. Registration under FTI-TTP will be completed after necessary verifications and confirmation of eligibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Trusted Traveller Programme allows Indian passport holders and OCI Cardholders to utilise these e-gates, bypass regular emigration\/immigration queues, and enjoy a smoother journey. This technology-driven initiative is designed to make the emigration\/immigration clearance process faster and simpler,\u201d added Jaipuriar. <\/p>\n

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Bureau of Immigration, has developed the roadmap for the FTI-TTP
