Domestic airlines SpiceJet<\/a> and IndiGo have issued flight advisories<\/a> for passengers traveling through Delhi<\/a> and Dharamsala due to expected delays caused by inclement weather<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a social media post on June 27, SpiceJet<\/a> urged passengers to monitor their flight details closely, stating, “Due to bad weather in Dharamshala (DHM) and Delhi (DEL), all departures\/arrivals and their consequential flights may be affected. Passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Heavy Rainfall Alerts Across North India<\/h2>\n

The Meteorological Department<\/a> has issued a yellow alert for Delhi, predicting heavy rainfall across the national capital until July 1. Areas like Palam, Aya Nagar, and Ridge in Delhi reported rainfall in varying amounts recently.<\/p>\n

According to the India Meteorological Department<\/a> (IMD), regions including Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Punjab, and West Rajasthan are expected to experience scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds on June 27.<\/p>\n

The Met Department forecasts that rainfall intensity will increase and spread across these areas from June 28-30. Isolated heavy rainfall is anticipated over Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan until June 30, West Uttar Pradesh from June 27-30, and Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab from June 28-30.<\/p>\n

Monsoon Update<\/h2>\n

IMD’s latest monsoon update predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in the West Peninsular coast and Northeast India from June 27-30. Northwest India is also likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall during June 28-30.<\/p>\n

The forecast includes the possibility of isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Coastal Karnataka on June 26, with Kerala, Mahe, and Tamil Nadu expecting isolated heavy rainfall around the same time.<\/p>\n

Isolated very heavy rainfall is expected over Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura from June 28-30, East Uttar Pradesh from June 28-29, and Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh from June 29-30.<\/p>\n

Passengers are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and their flight status as airlines continue to monitor and adjust schedules due to the ongoing weather challenges across North India<\/a>.
