Anthony Gordon has fallen off his bike while at England’s Euro 2024 camp in Germany, gashing his chin and cutting his hands.<\/p>\n

The Newcastle winger made his major tournament debut as a late substitute in the Three Lions’ 0-0 draw with Slovenia<\/a><\/strong> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

While the game confirmed England would top Group C, it saw continued criticism of their performances<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, two days later, the 23-year-old footballer turned up at training with a sizeable cut on his chin, as well as scrapes on his hands and legs.<\/p>\n

It emerged that these occurred during a recovery session gone wrong.<\/p>\n

Gordon was among a number of players who went on a bike ride on Wednesday, as part of their recovery.<\/p>\n

During the ride, he took a tumble and hit the deck at their Blankenhain camp.<\/p>\n

England and Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi said: “He fell off his bike. The boys went out on a bike ride.<\/p>\n

“I actually wasn’t there. I heard about it and I was actually talking to him, but not paying attention to him.<\/p>\n

“Then he turned around and I saw that massive gash on his chin.<\/p>\n

“But he’s okay, he’s okay, but he just fell off his bike.<\/p>\n

“It’s been a bit of a joke in camp but he’s doing well.”<\/p>\n

This comes as Manchester City star Phil Foden temporarily left the team’s camp<\/a><\/strong> for the birth of his third child.<\/p>\n

Foden and girlfriend Rebecca Cooke announced they were expecting in April.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old player is due to be back with the squad by Friday morning in time for Sunday’s last-16 match against Slovakia in Gelsenkirchen.<\/p>\n
