The weather department further predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated places over Delhi on June 29 and June 30, with heavy rain defined as between 64.5 mm and 124.4 mm in a day, and very heavy rain as between 124.5 mm and 244.4 mm.<\/p>\n<p><!--\/article_liveblog.cms?msid=105115637&pos=toppotime:2-->Given these forecasts, the weather department advises caution, particularly noting the potential for localized flooding of roads, waterlogging in low-lying areas, and the closure of underpasses due to heavy rainfall expected on June 29 and 30.<\/p>\n<p>The monsoon typically arrives in Delhi between June 27 and 29, with last year&#8217;s onset recorded on June 26 and the first showers of 2022 observed on June 30, according to official records.<\/p>\n<p>According to the IMD, &#8220;Southwest Monsoon further advanced into some more parts of West Rajasthan, remaining parts of East Rajasthan, some parts of Haryana, entire Delhi, some more parts of West Uttar Pradesh; remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and some more parts of East Uttar Pradesh.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Delhi Rain: IMD prediction for next week<\/h2>\n<p>Looking ahead, the IMD has released its weather forecast for Delhi over the next week. Similar conditions are projected for July 1 and 2, with thunderstorms and moderate rainfall persisting. Temperatures will remain steady around 34\u00b0C during the day and 27\u00b0C during the night, with wind speeds fluctuating between 25-35 km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>These weather patterns may lead to minor traffic disruptions and increase the risk of vehicle accidents due to water accumulation on roads.
