He also informed about the red and orange alerts issued for a few states in North-East and North-West India. Speaking to ANI, Dr Naresh Kumar said, \u201cPresent monsoon is in the active phase. Clouds can be seen all over the country. If you talk about the forecast, presently for North-Eastern states, we are expecting extremely heavy rainfall for the next two days; especially in Arunachal Pradesh. We have given red alerts for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim\u2026 For the rest of the India, we are already experiencing light to moderate rainfall. In Delhi-NCR, today, it will be light to moderate rainfall and in three consecutive days, we may experience isolated heavy rainfall. In the coming 2-3 days, we may expect, monsoon to advance over the remaining part of the country. In North-West India we may experience heavy rainfall in the coming few days.
