Other persons who may be aspirants for the post equivalent to the post for which compassionate appointments are made, cannot be said to have a list with such aspirants.The qualifications for appointment under a particular category is required to be similar for all the aspirants, however, the same can be different to the qualifications required for other persons, who do not fall in the category of aspirants for appointment on compassionate ground,\u201d the high court has held.<br \/>A division bench comprising Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Justice Vikas Suri of the HC has passed the orders while dismissing a petition filed by Kundan Singh, a resident of Amritsar district in Punjab. The petitioner had sought directions to quash the notification of Nov 11, 1999, whereby the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994, were amended. The petition has been pending since 1999.<br \/>The notification provided the compassionate appointment to the dependents of the deceased defence services personnel has been provided.
