A Mumbai Court<\/a> on Tuesday sent Mihir Shah<\/a>, the accused in the Mumbai hit and run case<\/a>, to a 14-day judicial custody<\/a> after his six-day police custody ended. <\/p>\n

Shah allegedly crashed a BMW into a two wheeler and killed a 45-year-old woman on June 7. Her husband, who was riding, was also injured in the incident that took place on Dr Annie Besant road in Worli<\/a>. <\/p>\n

He was absconding for three days before he was arrested from a flat in Virar<\/a>. The 24-year-old admitted to having been drunk at the time of the incident. <\/p>\n

Shah\u2019s father Rajesh Shah<\/a> was arrested by Mumbai<\/a> Police after the accident. Rajesh was removed from the post of deputy chief of Shiv Sena (UBT) following the incident.<\/p>\n

Shah\u2019s driver was also arrested and was sent to a 14-day judicial custody by a Mumbai Court. He was present in the car at the time of the incident. Shah was arrested on July 10 and was sent to police custody until July 16.
