A spokesperson for SoftBank India wasn’t immediately available for comment.

Sumer Juneja, managing partner, India & EMEA, heads the India and Europe market for the technology investment fund. Besides Misra, Narendra Rathi, investment director at SoftBank Investment Advisors, looks at deals in SaaS and business-to-business (B2B) sectors. Juneja has now been running the India investment team at SoftBank for more than five years. Both Misra and Rathi will continue to report to Juneja.

Excluding Juneja, the India investment team has six people. Since last year SoftBank has not made new investments in India amid the ongoing funding winter and lack of big-ticket funding rounds. The Tokyo-based investor has been making exits from its publicly listed companies like Paytm, Policybazaar. Delhivery and Zomato.
