The West Bengal Government has appealed to the Supreme Court against the Calcutta High Court’s decision to nullify the selection process of the State Level Selection Test-2016 (SLST), resulting in the cancellation of approximately 24,000 jobs. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the decision to challenge the verdict, citing its impact on 1.5-2 lakh families.
