As per the report, another person riding the same scooter also lost his life. Saurabh Kumar, Raina’s maternal cousin, and his friend Shubham from Kuthman died in a collision with a car near Gaggali airport on Wednesday, PTI claimed quoting police officials.
As per Superintendent of Police (SP) Kangra, Shalini Agnihotri, the incident took place around 11:30 pm on Wednesday near Himachal Timber in Gaggal.
The driver of the car, Sher Singh, fled the scene after the collision. The incident, which got recorded in a CCTV, helped the cops find the accused. According to police they were able to nab Sher Singh in Mandi with the help of the CCTV footage.
Police has registered a case against the accused under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code, along with section 187 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
