Mumbai Indians (MI) will host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium for their next Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Friday, and MI icon Rohit Sharma didn’t miss a chance to welcome KKR players on his home ground.

In a video posted on social media by MI, Rohit could be seen hugging KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer and wicketkeeper KS Bharat, and have a brief conversation with Rinku Singh, who finds himself among the four reserve players for India’s T20 World Cup squad.

He then also exchanged pleasantries with KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir.
“Match Hitman ke ghar rakhoge toh mehman nawazi ke liye Hitman khud aayega na,” read the caption with the video post.
While Kolkata sit pretty at No. 2 on the points table with 12 points from six wins in nine matches, five-time champions Mumbai Indians are on the doorstep of exit with only three wins in 10 matches.
