Did you know that your chats remain vulnerable to hacking even if you back them up on iCloud or Google Drive? Enabling end-to-end encryption for backups is the best way to prevent this, as it prevents the cloud storage providers from accessing your personal backed-up messages. To enable end-to-end encrypted backups, navigate to settings>Chat>Chat backup.

Activate the ‘Disappearing Messages’ feature in WhatsApp if you wish to remove the ability to archive private conversations. Setting a timer for one, seven, or ninety days will be required of you. Your messages will automatically be deleted after the timer is set. This also applies to all multimedia message files.

Enable the ‘Silence Unknown Callers’ feature to stay away from spam and unknown calls. Go to settings>Privacy>Calls>Enable Silence Unknown Callers.
