Mumbai today saw a dust storm followed by rain showers. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the city may experience rains for several hours today.The IMD had earlier stated that a thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and moderate to intense spells of rain, with gusty winds reaching 50-60 kmph, was very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Thane and Satara during the next 3-4 hours. The weather department has also predicted the possibility of hail at isolated places and advised residents to take precautions while moving out.
According to reports, the rains and dust storm have affected flight and train services.
