Excise policy case: Delhi court extends CM Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody till July 3
The Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday extended Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody till July 3 in the Delhi excise policy case.

Kejriwal was produced before the court through video conference. His judicial custody was to expire on Wednesday. He refused to give a statement to the court that was presided by Vacation judge Nyay Bindu, saying his lawyers will speak for him.

The court had declined his bail on June 7 after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed its response.

The court also extended Vinod Chauhan’s judicial custody till July 3.

The same court had earlier dismissed the interim bail plea moved by Kejriwal seeking seven days bail citing medical reasons.
While dismissing the plea, the Court directed the Tihar Jail Authorities to conduct all required medical tests and avail treatment The court had also extended the Judicial Custody of him till June 19. Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in connection to the alleged excise policy irregularities. He was granted an interim bail on May 10 for campaigning in for the Lok Sabha elections till June 2 after which he surrendered.
