NEW DELHI: State-owned Canara Bank announced on Sunday that its official X account was compromised. The bank urged its customers to avoid using the handle until the issue is resolved. “Canara Bank would like to inform to all concerned that the bank’s official X (formerly Twitter) account has been compromised. All concerned teams are investigating the matter and working closely with X to regain access to Canara Bank X handle at the earliest,” the bank said.
The bank advised users not to post anything on their X page and assured them that they would be notified once the account is restored. “We urge users not to post anything on our X page. We will inform immediately when it is restored and working in Canara Bank controls,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Canara Bank requested customers to visit their nearest branches or use the official website and online channels for more information and services.
