Earlier, the agency had detained the principal and vice principal of Oasis School in Hazaribagh, along with two individuals who allegedly provided safe havens for NEET candidates where burnt question papers were discovered by Bihar Police.
The CBI has filed six FIRs related to the case. One from Bihar focuses on the paper leak, while others from Gujarat and Rajasthan involve impersonation of candidates and cheating.
Initiated on a directive from the Union Education Ministry, the CBI’s own FIR aims to conduct a thorough investigation into alleged irregularities during the medical entrance examination.
NEET-UG, managed by the National Testing Agency (NTA), facilitates admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and related courses in both government and private institutions. This year’s exam was conducted on May 5 across 4,750 centers in 571 cities, including 14 overseas locations, with over 23 lakh candidates participating.
