The plane carrying the Indian cricket team landed at Mumbai Airport on Tuesday, where they received a never-seen-before welcome.
The Indian Cricket Team, which won the T20 World Cup 2024, arrived in New Delhi earlier today and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The team then departed for Mumbai for the victory parade at the iconic Marine Drive.
Upon their arrival at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the Vistara flight carrying the team received a water canon salute.

In the aviation industry, the water salute is a ceremonial gesture meant to respect or honour inaugural flights, retirements or special celebrations.
The video went viral soon after Team India’s flight landed at the Mumbai airport.
The celebratory roadshow will start from the Nariman Point and will travel all the way along the Marine Drive in Mumbai, where the Wankhede Stadium is located.
