India At Paris Olympics 2024: Indian shuttler PV Sindhu is all set to be India’s Flag Bearer at Paris Olympics 2024. The official confirmation and announcement of the decision came on Monday, July 8, via Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President PT Usha. Last time around, it was the Indian boxing legend Mary Kom and men’s hockey player Manpreet Singh that got the honour of being India’s flag bearer at Tokyo Olympics 2020 and this time, it’s the Indian badminton legend who will be getting the honour.

The decision seems immensely perfect, as PV Sindhu is the only Indian athlete to win an individual medal at the Olympics on two different occasions (silver medal at Rio Olympics 2016, bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020). However, PV Sindhu will not be the only flag bearer at the Games, as table tennis veteran Sharath Kamal will be the co-flag bearer alongside her.
