The tax authorities take an average 12.82 days to give approval for registration under the GST, Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudary told Lok Sabha Monday.
As per the law, the registration is required to be granted within a period of seven working days where the applicant has undergone Aadhaar authentication, however However in cases where additional clarification, information or documents are sought, then registration is required to be granted within seven days from the date of furnishing of such clarification information or documents, he said.
