In Jammu and Kashmir, rising terrorism has led the BSF to boost vigilance along the Akhnoor sector of the International Border. Recent attacks in Doda, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch, coupled with thwarted infiltration attempts, have prompted a comprehensive security response. The BSF’s water wing, equipped with powerful boats, is actively patrolling the Chenab River, which is flowing rapidly due to the monsoon. With Independence Day approaching, BSF personnel are on high alert against both drone threats and infiltration attempts. Speaking to ANI, BSF official said, “We are on high alert in every season. We are ready for our duty be it in the morning or night. Special training is conducted for the water wing.”
