Actor Nagarjuna’s convention hall built on ‘encroached land’ in Hyderabad demolished by HYDRAA
Officials from the Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), accompanied by local police, commenced a demolition drive at the N Convention Hall near Shilparamam in Hyderabad on Saturday morning.

The convention hall is owned by renowned Telugu actor Nagarjuna.

The demolition follows allegations that the convention center was illegally constructed by encroaching upon Tammidi Cheruvu, a local water body.

Madhapur Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said that police force has been deployed to ensure the process is conducted smoothly.

“HYDRAA officials have started demolishing the N Convention Hall this morning and we have deployed police force to ensure the demolition is carried out smoothly, as the land comes under the FTL zone, “said the official.

Reports indicate that a complaint was lodged with HYDRAA accusing the owners of encroaching upon three and a half acres of land that was originally part of the lake.

The ongoing demolition is part of the response to these claims as officials investigate the extent of the encroachment.

In addition, it is noteworthy that when he was a TDP MLA, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had previously made remarks in the Assembly regarding the N Convention Hall.
