On Monday, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) announced the creation of five new districts in Ladakh: Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang. The MHA instructed Ladakh’s administration to form a committee to evaluate the new districts. The committee will review district headquarters, boundaries, and administrative structures and submit a report within three months.
