Jay Shah New ICC Chairman: Jay Shah, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary, has been elected unopposed as the International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman. The news of Shah being elected for the ICC top job was confirmed on the last date of filing nominations on August 27 (Tuesday). With Shah set to take over as the chairman of the world cricket governing body, he becomes the fifth Indian to take the post after Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sharad Pawar, N Srinivasan and Shashank Manohar.

At 36, Jay Shah becomes the youngest-ever ICC chief. It would be interesting to see who takes up the BCCI Secretary role which gets vacated with Shah taking up the ICC opposition.
