Google Doodle Today: Google on Wednesday (August 28) released a new Google Doodle to celebrate the commencement of the Paris Paralympics 2024. In honor of the kickoff of a major global sports event for Para athletes, Google has updated its search engine logo to include the playful animated birds seen in earlier Google Doodles for the Paris Olympics 2024. Instead of the usual search engine icon, users will see a vibrant GIF on the Google homepage today. The Google Doodle celebrating the Paris Paralympics 2024 will be visible to users globally.

Paris Paralympic Games 2024
The Paris Paralympics 2024 will start on August 28 and run through September 8. Over 100 members of the Indian delegation, including 52 athletes from various sports, will participate in the opening ceremony. This year marks a historic first, as the inaugural ceremony will take place outside of a stadium on Wednesday.
However, Indian athletes scheduled to compete on August 29, including the entire 10-member shooting team, will not participate in the parade of nations due to the need to prepare for their events. Devendra Jhajharia, president of the Paralympics Committee of India, explained to PTI that the athletes who have competitions the following day will not join the opening ceremony to ensure they are well-prepared.
The Indian team at the parade will consist of 106 members, comprising 52 athletes and 54 officials. India aims to achieve 25 medals, including a double-digit number of golds, at the Paris Paralympics 2024. This follows a successful Tokyo 2021 Paralympics, where India secured 19 medals, including five gold.
The nation hopes that just as our athletes made us proud at the Olympic Games 2024, our athletes at the Paralympic Games will also make us proud and will bring the glory home.
