The Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday notified the appointment of IAS officer Dharmendra as the Chief Secretary of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
A 1989 batch IAS officer from AGMUT cadre , Dharmendra has been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh and will take the up the responsibility from September 1.
He replaces Naresh Kumar, a 1987-batch IAS officer, whose extension ended on August 31. Kumar’s tenure was extended twice by the Centre.
