On Friday, Avani Lekhara made history by securing the gold medal in the women’s 10m air rifle event at the Paralympics, a title she had previously won in Tokyo. Her compatriot, Mona Agarwal, also performed exceptionally well, earning the bronze medal in the same event.
In the men’s 10m air pistol (SH1) competition, Manish Narwal showcased his skills and determination, ultimately securing a silver medal for his efforts.
The SH1 class is designed for athletes who have the ability to hold their gun without any difficulty and can shoot from either a standing position or while seated in a wheelchair or chair.
