Sticking to their older stand, the West Bengal government did not agree to a 30-member delegation and live streaming as demanded by the doctors. Instead, the government allowed for a video recording of the whole meeting will be allowed for transparency.

The junior doctors, who are agitating against the rape and murder of a fellow doctor at the R. G. Kar Medical College & Hospital, have made it clear that they will not call off their protests until their demands are fulfilled.
ED, CBI raids in multiple locations
Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at Former RG Kar Medical College & Hospital Principal Sandip Ghosh’s ancestral residence at New Town’s Chinar Park and residence of businessman Chandan Louha at Tala in North Kolkata and a private medical shop at Kalindi from Thursday morning. ED is conducting the raid for the last six hours from the morning.
Sanjay Roy, the main arrested accused is being interrogated by CBI inside the jail, people in the know said.
Meanwhile, a three-member team of CBI reached the house and nursing home of Sudipta Roy, Sreerampore TMC MLA, a doctor and RG Kar Medical College & Hospital’s Patient Welfare Committee Chairman, in connection with RG Kar Medical rape & murder case.
“Sandip Ghosh called me at around 10am that day. I was shocked. I was born in the RG Kar hospital, I have studied there and my father taught there, so I was shocked,” Sudipto Roy said today after CBI left. “CBI is probing the incident. They wanted a couple of pieces of information and after getting the information, the CBI team left.”
“Our main job is patient’s welfare. This is our job,” Roy, who is chairman of Patient’s Welfare Chairman of RG Kar, said, adding, “I said unnatural death when the media asked me for the first time.”
“When such a gruesome incident happens, everyone rushed to the spot which is natural. My father is a MLA. He does not regulate any post. He works as chairman of the Patient Welfare Committee and follows the government’s instructions. I would appeal to everyone, please cooperate with the CBI. The whole process is under investigation,” Roy’s daughter said.
Meanwhile, Bomb squad reached RG Kar Medical Medical College& Hospital after an unclaimed bag was found in the place where the junior students were protesting.
