Who Is Mahli Beardman? Know More About The Australian Pacer

Mahli Beardman is a 19-year-old Australian pacer who made a name for himself after a sensational spell of bowling in the U19 World Cup 2024 Final against India, as his figures of 3/15 decimated the Indian side, and for that, he was awarded the Player of the Match.

Throughout the tournament, he took 10 wickets in 6 games at an average of 10.5, and was well-rewarded for his performances, as he was picked by Perth Scorchers (most successful side in the history of BBL) for the upcoming Big Bash League season.

The 19-year-old was left stunned and surprised upon getting informed about his national call-up and assumed it to be a prank at first.

“It’s pretty surreal, just so unexpected. I started the morning off with a little message from Tony (Dodemaide); I didn’t think it was real to be honest, I thought it might have been one of the boys pranking me. But I gave him a call back and got talking and he said come over to England to train and be around the squad,” said Mahli Beardman, as reported by Cricket Australia.
