After 4 years, the central government is expected to begin the census, an official survey of the country’s population, next year, as per a Times Now report.
The census, typically conducted every ten years to update the National Population Register (NPR), was scheduled for 2021 but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the census cycle is also expected to change.
