NEW DELHI: Ambuja Cements has sought approval from the Competition Commission of India to acquire a majority stake in Orient Cement in a Rs 8,100-crore deal. The proposed transaction will see Ambuja initially acquiring a 46.8% stake in Orient, a CCI notice said.
