Thirteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi dazzled with an unbeaten 76 off 46 balls as India stormed into the U-19 Asia Cup semifinals with a commanding 10-wicket victory over the UAE. After electing to bat, UAE managed just 137 in 44 overs, undone by Yudhajit Guha’s stellar 3/15 and contributions from Chetan Sharma (2/27) and Hardik Raj (2/28).
India’s opening duo chased the target in just 16.1 overs, with Ayush Mhatre smashing 67 off 51 balls. Suryavanshi, recently acquired by Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.10 crore in the IPL auction, displayed flair with three fours and four sixes, most landing in the cow corner region.
India, finishing second in Group A, will face unbeaten Group B toppers Sri Lanka in the semifinals today.
