Who is Nikita Singhania, Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash’s estranged wife, accused of driving him toward suicide?
Bengaluru was shaken by the tragic suicide of 34-year-old techie Atul Subhash on December 9th. In a heart-wrenching act, Atul ended his life, leaving behind a 24-page suicide note and a video accusing his wife, Nikita Singhania, and her family of relentless harassment, extortion, and false legal cases.

Atul’s marriage to Nikita in 2019, initially filled with hope, turned into a nightmare.

Allegedly, Nikita and her family demanded exorbitant sums of money, including a staggering Rs. 3 crore to settle legal disputes and an additional Rs. 30 lakh for visitation rights to their four-year-old son. Despite paying a monthly sum of Rs.2 lakh for his son’s expenses, Atul was denied access to his child.

The harassment extended beyond financial demands. Atul claimed that Nikita and her family filed multiple false cases against him, including domestic violence, dowry harassment, and even attempted murder. He further alleged that Nikita mocked him during court hearings, urging him to take his own life.

Atul’s suicide note also exposed alleged judicial bias and corruption. He accused a judge in Uttar Pradesh’s family court of disregarding his pleas and favoring Nikita’s side. He claimed to have witnessed a court officer accepting bribes openly.

Atul recorded a video holding a sign that read “Justice is Due.” He expressed his unbearable mental anguish and requested custody of his son for his parents. He also made a poignant request: his ashes should not be immersed until justice was served.Atul’s tragic death has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many demanding justice under the hashtags #JusticeForAtulSubhash and #MenToo. Activists and lawyers have highlighted the alarming misuse of laws meant to protect women, which can have devastating consequences for men like Atul.

Nikita, along with her mother, brother, and uncle, has been named in an FIR for abetment to suicide.
