PM Modi to join Veer Baal Diwas celebrations today; launch Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in the nationwide Veer Baal Diwas celebrations on Thursday at New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam. The event, scheduled to begin around noon, will highlight the crucial role of children as the building blocks of India’s future.

The Prime Minister will launch the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan during the event, informed a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office. This initiative is designed to enhance nutritional outcomes and overall well-being by strengthening the delivery of nutrition services and ensuring active community participation.

The PMO’s release further mentioned that a range of initiatives will be organised across the country to engage young minds, raise awareness about the significance of Veer Baal Diwas, and foster a culture of courage, service, and dedication to the nation.

To involve children and youth, a series of online competitions, including interactive quizzes, will be held through the MyGov and MyBharat portals. Additionally, schools, Child Care Institutions, and Anganwadi centres will organize activities like storytelling, creative writing, and poster-making.

Awardees of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) will also be honoured at the program.
