Prayagraj District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar on January 13 informed that more than 70 lakhs took holy dip in Prayagraj as Maha Kumbh 2025 began. He also expected that 1 crore people will take a holy dip on the first day. “More than 70 lakhs devotees took holy dip and it will reach to 1 crore. Devotees are coming here and our all parking areas has been activated. Continuous railway movements are happening from our 9 railway stations…Devotees from abroad are also coming in large numbers to take a holy dip. As devotees will take a holy dip on Makar Sankranti, all police teams are active for that…,” said Ravindra Kumar Mandar.
