Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is planning a trip to Beijing later this month for talks with Chinese vice foreign minister to take forward outcomes from the recent Kazan Summit and special representative and foreign minister-level meetings that have helped to lessen tensions between the two countries. Visas, resumption of direct flights and an inclusive economic partnership besides early de-escalation of the border standoff are on the agenda of Misri’s trip.
