This marks one of the highest amounts ever received by any state in a year. Rajasthan had earlier attracted proposals worth Rs 30 lakh crores in January 2023.
However, the real challenge lies in converting these proposals into actual investments. According to a report by SBI, total investments from both the government and private sectors in the country between April and December last year amounted to Rs 32 lakh crores.
The state’s past record shows that out of more than Rs 10 lakh crores in proposals during five previous investor summits, only Rs 1.5 lakh crores materialised into real investments, creating 2.38 lakh jobs.
Despite this, CM Yadav remains optimistic, focusing on industrialisation with a clear monitoring system and timelines for implementation. He also highlighted that his government had already created 3 lakh job opportunities since taking office in 2023.
Yet, with 26 lakh registered unemployed youth in the state, Yadav aims to provide jobs to 70% of them within the next five years.
