Former India captain Virat Kohli reportedly suffered a minor injury during India’s net session on Friday while preparing for the crucial Champions Trophy final against New Zealand.
According to reports, Kohli was struck on the knee by a pacer, prompting immediate attention from the team’s physiotherapist.
A spray was applied, and the affected area was wrapped in a bandage. However, the injury doesn’t appear to be serious, as Kohli remained on the field and continued observing the rest of the practice session. He is expected to be fit and ready for today’s IND vs NZ Final in Dubai.

Virat Kohli has been India’s top performer with the bat in the tournament, scoring 217 runs in four matches. His tally includes a century and a half-century, with a match-winning knock in the semi-final against Australia that helped India secure a place in CT 2025 final.

If Kohli scores 95 runs in IND vs NZ final, he will surpass Tendulkar to become the highest run-scorer against New Zealand in ODIs.
