India rejects Pakistan’s allegation of hand in Jaffar Express Train hijack

India has firmly rejected Pakistan’s claims linking it to the Jaffar Express attack. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, “We strongly deny the baseless allegations. The world knows where the epicenter of global terrorism lies. Pakistan should focus on its internal issues instead of blaming others for its own failures.” Earlier, Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan suggested the rebels behind the attack were in contact with leaders in Afghanistan. “India has been involved in terrorism in Pakistan. The terrorists in the Jaffar Express attack were in touch with their handlers in Afghanistan,” Khan said during a briefing. Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated due to border skirmishes and Islamabad’s accusations that the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is using Afghan territory to launch attacks, which Kabul denies.
