Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about world peace and India’s cultural heritage in a podcast with Lex Fridman, which was released on Sunday.

“Whenever we speak of peace, the world listens to us because India is the land of Gautam Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi,” PM Modi said.

He added, “When I shake hands with world leaders, it’s not Modi but 1.4 billion Indians doing so. My strength lies not in my name but in the backing of 1.4 billion Indians and the country’s timeless culture and heritage.”

“I welcome criticism; I have a strong belief that it is soul of democracy,” Modi added while discussing Indian democracy on Fridman’s podcast.

In a post on X, he said, “I will be doing a podcast with Narendra Modi (@narendramodi), Prime Minister of India, at the end of February. I’ve never been to India, so I’m excited to finally visit and experience many facets of its vibrant, historic culture and its amazing people as fully as I can.”
