Third eye: Top Court’s focus on judicial officers & BJP MP on polo course
Supreme Court has underlined the need to have “very humble” judicial officers and the corresponding need for a proper assessment while selecting them. A bench headed by justice Surya Kant, while deciding a plea of a lady judicial officer, verbally remarked that the institution needs “bright and brilliant” officers. The judge also observed that judicial academies should have a “moulding and protecting” approach to instil a “humane approach” in the budding judicial officers.

BJP MP on polo course

BJP’s Kurukshetra MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal wears many hats, but very few know that he is also a polo player. On Tuesday, he invited some fellow MPs to watch a polo match. He captained one of the teams. A few foreigners were also part of both the teams. The match was held at polo grounds on Race Course Road. A few MPs also turned up to cheer for him. It became easier for the Lok Sabha members as the House was adjourned for the day

Maintaining rapport

There may be a buzz about divisions in INDIA bloc after BJP’s win in the Delhi assembly polls, but Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is often seen making it a point to maintain rapport with allies. On Tuesday, while leaving Parliament, Gandhi saw Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav talking with a BJP MP. He turned back, walked towards Yadav and gave him a compliment, saying he was looking dashing. Gandhi also invited Yadav for a cuppa.
