24-year-old MBA intern found dead in Belagavi PG room; authorities launch investigation

Authorities in Belagavi are investigating the death of a 24-year-old MBA intern who was found dead in her rented accommodation in the Nehru Nagar area. The woman, who had moved to Belagavi three months ago for an internship at a well-known company, was discovered on Wednesday.

According to Police Commissioner Martin Marbaniang, a complaint was filed stating that the intern had died by hanging in her room.

“We have taken the case, and the post-mortem is being done,” said Marbaniang.

He also confirmed that seven items were seized from the scene and will be sent for forensic analysis.

“The complainant has given a complaint that her daughter, aged 24 years, has committed suicide by hanging herself in her room. Seven items have been seized, and we will be sending them to FSL for further analysis,” Marbaniang added.

Police reports indicate that the intern returned to her PG on Tuesday evening after work. CCTV footage shows her entering her room shortly after a brief conversation with her roommate. Later that evening, she was found hanging from a ceiling fan.While the investigation is in its early stages, authorities have not released any information regarding a suicide note or potential motives. The ongoing investigation includes a forensic examination of the seized items.
