Apple has released a new trailer for the upcoming film F1, starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris in the lead roles. The film has had audiences speculating for a proper look since the first teaser dropped eight months ago. The two stars will play a veteran F1 racer and a rookie in the film, directed by Joseph Kosinski, who tackled a similar dynamic in his blockbuster film Top Gun: Maverick, with Tom Cruise and Miles Teller.
Brad Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a washed-out F1 driver who is currently slumming it in the Gran Tourer scene. He is approached by Ruben, played by Javier Bardem, who offers him a spot on his team. Ruben wants to pair Hayes with rookie Joshua Pearce in order to bring some kind of cosmic balance to his team. With Fleetwood Mac’s ‘The Chain’ playing in the background, both drivers juggle the fast-paced and high-stakes world of Formula 1.

The cinematography is dynamic, intimate, and sweeping, putting viewers inside the cars during high-speed races. Kosinski seems to be returning to the kinetic visual style that he refined in Maverick. The action-packed chases and the old-fashioned drama are all present, except this time, everything takes place on the ground.
The rest of the cast includes Kerry Condon, Simone Ashley, Tobias Menzies, Calie Cooke, Kim Bodnia, and more, with several Formula 1 drivers such as Lewis Hamilton, Esteban Ocon, and Pierre Gasly all set to make an appearance as well. The film is set to be released on June 27.
