Beyoncé and Jay-Z removed from Diddy lawsuit as accuser backtracks on ‘freak-off’ party claim; LeBron James remains listed

One of Diddy’s accusers, Manzaro Joseph, who sued the disgraced American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs just months before his sex trafficking and racketeering trial, has now made some amendments to the lawsuit. Joseph had earlier claimed that the famous industry couple, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, had seen him in a bizarre situation at Diddy’s party in 2015. According to TMZ, he filed a new version of his lawsuit on April 11, 2025, and surprisingly dropped the Carters from the accusations.

Joseph’s original claim was that during a 2015 birthday party in Miami for Diddy’s then-teenage son, King Combs, he was drugged and forced to wear a disturbing mask. He said Beyoncé saw him and asked, “Why is this half-naked white man with a mask standing here in front of me?” In the same lawsuit, he also name-dropped LeBron James and even Gloria and Emilio Estefan for being one of the party attendees where Diddy ran a kind of secret, underground operation involving drugs and forced sex acts. However, in his new lawsuit, there’s no mention of Beyoncé or Jay-Z.

According to reports, Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, warned Joseph’s lawyer that he couldn’t make false claims about the couple. Spiro apparently provided solid proof that Jay and Bey were nowhere near Miami in April 2015. This is the second time Jay-Z has been cleared of similar accusations. As of now, no apology from Joseph, just a quiet legal update and a backtrack. And while the Carters have got their names cleared, LeBron James and the Estefans are still named in the original version of the lawsuit. Earlier, the representatives of the celebs outright denied the claims of their involvement. According to them, LeBron was allegedly playing for the Cavs at the time and wasn’t even in Miami, and as for the Estefans, they said no parties ever happened at their home between 2012 and 2019.

This is not the first Diddy case where Jay Z had been dragged in. Earlier, a woman who had accused both Diddy and Jay-Z of assaulting her back in 2000 also quietly dismissed her lawsuit last month. The woman identified as Jane Doe, had claimed that she was drugged and assaulted by both Diddy and the Brooklyn-based rapper during an afterparty of the VMAs when she was 13. At the time, Jay Z himself released a statement denying the claims and calling it a “money-grab.”

“I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma that my wife, my children, my loved ones and I have endured can never be dismissed,” he said at the time. Aside from Joseph’s case, Diddy is also facing a federal indictment for sex trafficking and plenty of other lawsuits. Diddy has pleaded not guilty and is currently sitting in Brooklyn jail, waiting for trial, scheduled in May.
