Parts of Rajasthan continued to reel from severe heat on Monday, with Barmer recording the highest maximum temperature at 45.4 degrees Celsius, the Met office said. The maximum temperature in Phalodi was recorded at 44.2 degrees Celsius.
Other parts of the desert state also continued to reel from the heat, with Jaisalmer recording a day temperature of 44 degrees Celsius, followed by Jodhpur at 42.1 degrees, Bikaner at 41.7 degrees, Jalore at 41.6 degrees, Churu at 41.4 degrees, Kota and Dabok (Udaipur) at 40.2 degrees each and Jaipur at 37.6 degrees.
The Met office has predicted a 3-4 degree rise in day temperatures during the next three days.
