WWE stars Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio try Indian food; Dominik gets carried away while eating butter chicken

WWE has been taking Netflix by storm since the streaming platform opened its door to the entertainment company on April 1. Since then WWE has been doubling down on promotions to let people know that now they can watch their favourite moments from the past and present all in one place. As part of the PR run, WWE superstars Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan made an appearance alongside comedians Rohan Joshi and Aaditya Kulshreshth on Netflix India’s YouTube channel, where the wrestlers try Indian cuisine while answering questions.

Right off the bat, Dominik Mysterio makes it clear that he won’t address any questions about Rey (his father), who is also a celebrated WWE wrestler. He discusses how one of WWE’s storylines from back when he was a kid made people question who his real father was. “I think the wildest thing I heard growing up was that Eddie Guerrero was actually my dad. Teachers would ask me if my home life was okay and if I knew who my dad was.”

Dominik is referring to one of WWE’s old storylines that involved his father Rey and WWE legend Eddie Guerrero, in which both of them competed against each other for Dominik’s custody.

The unmasked Mysterio and Morgan feasted on many Indian delicacies and the former liked butter chicken so much, that he accidentally cursed in delight. But he quickly apologised for his language as Rohan calmed him down and said, “That is exactly the kind of honest review we want.” The couple shared stories of their childhood and their careers in the WWE while having chaat, garlic naan and gulab jamun.

Liv Morgan who is the current WWE tag-team champion, talked about the evolution of the women’s division and pointed out that when she was growing up, women were only seen as ‘eye-candy’ and not actual competitors. “When I started 10 years ago, we were on the verge of starting our women’s revolution, which was pretty much equal treatment to men, the same segments and screen time as them and more championships to fight for.”

At WrestleMania 41, Liv Morgan will be defending her tag-team title alongside Raquel Rodriguez, while Dominik will try to best three other men for the Intercontinental Championship.
